Gallbladder

The gallbladder is an organ that stores bile. Bile can become thick and develop into gallstones. Gallstones can block the opening of the gallbladder, causing inflammation and pain.

When you experience gallbladder problems, surgery may be recommended to remove the gallbladder. The gallbladder can be removed through small incisions. Patients typically go home right after surgery.
