Colonoscopy is a procedure where a small camera is used to evaluate the inside of your colon/large intestine.

This is the best way to check for colon cancer. Current guidelines recommend colonoscopy at age 45. Colonoscopy may be needed for symptoms including abdominal pain, changes in bowel habits, blood per rectum, and others. Patients go home right after the procedure.
